Ready for playing with the views? The path from Bad Ragaz to Pardiel winds its way up through lovely forests. Whenever the trees allow for the view to open up, you can catch a glimpse of the Gonzen, Falknis and Regitzer Spitz mountains. After a rest, the descent on forest trails and paths beckons.

Description

This route leads from Bad Ragaz on a moderately steep and good small mountain road to Pardiel. Along the way, splendid views open into the Seeztal, Rhine Valley, Liechtenstein, and the Bündner Herrschaft. The Pardiel viewing terrace is located in the popular hiking and winter sports area Pizol. Once there, you can recharge your energy at one of the mountain inns with inviting food and drink menus and enjoy the view. The panorama is particularly beautiful from the nearby Prodkopf viewpoint. The descent first follows a rewarding forest trail to Muttberg. From there, a forest road leads you back through the woodland to the spa town Bad Ragaz. The well-known Tamina Thermal Baths with soothing thermal water promise pure relaxation after the eventful bike route.

In Pardiel, you can dine at several good mountain restaurants and enjoy the view.

Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is advantageous, as ascents and descents alternate.

Directions

Start in Bad Ragaz at the Tamina Bridge and from there along the red-marked SchweizMobil route «474 Pizol Pardiel Bike» to Pardiel. The descent follows the route on a forest and logging road to Wildboden and back to Bad Ragaz.
