Description
The Earth is part of our solar system. Moon, sun, and planets are our closest neighbors in space. Nevertheless, the dimensions of the solar system are so large that we cannot imagine the size relationships. To better understand these dimensions, the Planet Trail Disentis-Sedrun was created. The idea for this trail came from Brother Magnus and two teachers from the Disentis monastery high school. As part of a project week at the high school and in cooperation with Sedrun Disentis Tourism, the panels along the trail were created. The information on the panels is intended to make the dimensions of the cosmos somewhat more comprehensible to visitors.

The route can also be done in the opposite direction.

Directions
The Planet Trail is marked with brown signposts. We start the hike at Disentis Monastery and follow Via da Paders from the monastery gate in a westerly direction. This leads us to the valley station of the aerial cableway. We continue hiking towards Acletta to Segnas. At the western end of the village, we encounter the popular hiking trail to Sedrun. After an ascent, we reach the small village of Mompé Tujetsch, from where the path gently follows the railway line to Bugnei. We cross the bridge of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway. Immediately after the bridge, to the right, we find an underpass. We go under the tracks and continue hiking above the railway line again. As soon as we reach the paved road, we go straight ahead. At the old valley station of the T-bar lift to Cungieri, we go down again and under the tracks once more. After the underpass, to the right, we find the last signboard for the Planet Trail. After the viaduct over the Drun stream, we can already see Sedrun station. The train takes us back to Disentis.
