Description
The hike starts at the schoolhouse in Versam. After a few steps, a hiking trail branches off to the right. It leads to a red bench with a magnificent view. From here, it is worth taking a detour to the right to the old quarry, a wooded hilltop with a magnificent view of the Versamer Tobel with the old and new bridge, the rock road to Bonaduz and the Rhine Gorge. Follow the same path back to the bench, where a steep path branches off. It joins the Islaplanggen forest path, which leads without incline to Islabord at the viewing platform. Although this is not as famous as the Flims platform, it also offers a great view of the gorge landscape. From the platform, follow the road for a short distance in the direction of Versam, until soon a forest road branches off to the left. We follow this through the wonderful deciduous forest back to Versam to the starting point. On the way you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Rhine Gorge.
