Description

Have you ever wondered: Who invented Ricola and how do the herbs actually get into the candies? The Ricola adventure route tells you and takes you on an exciting journey through the world of Ricola.

Along the 10 adventure stations, you learn many interesting facts about the widely loved Ricola products, what makes them so special, and of course everything you need to know about the Swiss mountain herbs. Smell, see, taste, and above all marvel on this interactive path about the big and small secrets of the Swiss traditional company.

Hidden Gem

Put some change in your pocket so you can get your favorite variety from the Ricola vending machine on the themed path.

Arosa strives to provide hikers with a well-developed and marked network of hiking trails. Please observe the rules and signage. Further helpful tips can be found under hiking information.

The adventure route starts either at Hof Maran or the Arosa Bear Land. The path is mostly asphalted. Strollers can pass along the path. Visitors in wheelchairs can rent a JST Mountain Drive wheelchair at the middle station, making the adventure route accessible.

Public Transport

The Rhaetian Railway runs hourly from Chur to Arosa (also in the opposite direction).

From Arosa station, the Squirrel Path leads directly to the start/finish at the Golf & Sporthotel Hof Maran. The local bus conveniently takes you directly from the station to the Golf & Sporthotel Hof Maran. If you plan to start the hiking trail at the Arosa Bear Land, you can switch right next to the station to the Arosa-Weisshorn aerial cableway.

Travel Information

From Chur, take the winding Arosa road to the end of the valley at Arosa. A few meters after the village entrance, turn right towards Maran/Prätschli. Follow the road to the Golf & Sporthotel Hof Maran; there are a few parking spaces above the hotel. However, we recommend you park your car at the Ochsenbühl parking garage. Immediately next to it is a bus stop; the local bus conveniently takes you to the start/finish point Hof Maran.

At the village entrance, there is large signage with various parking options. We recommend the Ochsenbühl parking garage. Further information can be found at Arosa Parking.

Our Prätschli-Stall has cult status among guests beyond the borders of Arosa. Located right next to the hotel, you will find exactly what your heart desires: a cosy hut atmosphere, crackling open fire, warming drinks and hearty dishes.

In winter, the Prätschli-Stall is a popular place to go for après-ski, with a lively crowd of skiers and snowboarders. And in the evening you can enjoy a raclette or cheese fondue with family or friends.

During the summer, we will spoil you with Grisons specialities, seasonal dishes and, of course, the well-known and popular Stall-Schnitzel. When the weather is fine, you can enjoy the sun on our wonderful terrace. (raclette in summer only available if ordered in advance)

Fine family menus, cozy après-ski at the Sternebar in winter and the Arosa Bear Sanctuary are just a few highlights that you can experience with us at the Brüggerstuba.

The Bear Mini Golf offers fun and games for the whole family.

The mini-golf course with probably the most beautiful view in the world tells the story of the nutrition of bears and has many adventure elements built into the individual holes.

The rackets and balls can be rented at the middle station (ticket office Arosa Bergbahnen) for a deposit of CHF 5.00.
