Description
For the first ascent, take the gondola up to the Rinerhorn mountain station, where your hike begins. Pass the petting zoo on the first ascent to the Hubelhütte, which is open from Friday to Sunday in good weather. If you prefer a more leisurely walk, you can also take the wide forest path over the Äbirügg up to the Hubelhütte. It's worth taking a short break at the Hubelhütte, as the Tinzenhorn seems close enough to touch. The Tinzenhorn is also known as the Matterhorn of Davos, and when you see it you will know why. Continue with a climb up to the Rinerhorn, where you will be rewarded with a wonderful panorama of the side valleys and the surrounding mountains. This is followed by a short ascent in the direction of Marchhüreli, this small summit can be bypassed by passing a scree field from where you can already see the top station of the Nüllisch ski lift. From Nüllisch, the route then descends towards the Rinerhorn mountain station.
Hidden Gem
You have to try the Kaiserschmarren in the Hubelhütte, it's a real insider tip. The homemade cakes in the Jatzmeder restaurant are also a taste sensation for your palate.
