Description
Of the three villages that make up the Alpine Arena, Falera is the most peaceful. But it’s not only sports enthusiasts who are drawn here: Falera also attracts visitors with its mysterious Neolithic site, the Parc la Mutta – a megalithic complex whose stunning location alone makes it well worth a visit.
The hike begins at the PostBus stop in Falera and leads in the direction of Curnius. As you ascend, the trail passes charming alpine huts and flower-filled mountain meadows. Continuing on to Alp Dadens, you’ll come across a picnic and fire pit at 1,756 meters above sea level.
The descent back to Falera follows a well-marked mountain hiking trail, allowing you to fully enjoy the breathtaking views of the Signina range and the Rhine Gorge. Along the way, you’ll once again pass through fragrant alpine meadows as you return to the village.
For those seeking a shorter route or a more leisurely experience, the hike can be shortened using the Falera chairlift.
