Legend Trail of Paul Luziet in Sumvitg

The route should not be attempted in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes in the mountains are common. If a rain front or similar develops during the hike, you should turn back in time.

Weather-appropriate clothing (rain jacket), possibly change of clothes, first-aid kit, drink, provisions, possibly hiking poles.

By train via Chur or Göschenen

From Göschenen via Disentis or directly from Chur with the RhB to Rabius or Sumvitg/Cumpadials.

From Rabius station it's about a 10-minute walk to the starting point. Please first go left and then turn half-right onto the traffic-free street towards the village of Rabius. Upon reaching the main road, keep left and walk about 300 m on the sidewalk to the Val Luven stream. There turn right onto the hiking path which leads you directly to the starting point of the legend trail.

Alternatively, the circular tour can also start from Sumvitg (about a 15-minute walk). At Sumvitg/Cumpadials station, follow the footpath up to the village of Sumvitg. When you reach the main road, keep right and walk through the village to the church and then a little further to the pedestrian crossing. Cross it and walk straight north up the gravel road. A few meters further you will find the overview board where you can begin the legend trail.

By car via Chur

From Zurich on the N 3 or from St. Gallen on the N 13 to Chur, then continue to the Reichenau exit towards Disentis/Ilanz/Flims until Rabius (station) or Sumvitg (Sumvitg/Cumpadials station).

By car via Göschenen

From Basel on the N 2 via Lucerne to Göschenen, then continue on the old pass road through the Schöllenen Gorge to Andermatt and over the Oberalp Pass/Disentis to Sumvitg at Sumvitg/Cumpadials station (which lies below the village between Sumvitg and Cumpadials) or to Rabius station.

There is parking available at Rabius station or at Sumvitg/Cumpadials station.
