Description

From Samnaun-Laret, go over the Schergenbach and immediately after the bridge turn left towards Mot Grond. After the workshop and the pasture Clis Grond, the path gently ascends to Mot Grond, where the view opens towards Spiss (AUT). There is also a barbecue area at Mot Grond. Return the same way to Samnaun-Laret.

During the ascent you cross lush meadows and dense forests that offer diverse flora and fauna.


Panoramic views: The higher you get, the more extensive the views become, and with some luck you may also see wildlife.

  • With the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from the Upper Engadin) hourly to Scuol-Tarasp station

  • Continue with the PostBus to the PostBus stop Samnaun-Laret, junction

Travel Information


  • From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or over the Flüela pass to the Lower Engadin on H27, turn left at Vinadi towards Samnaun

  • From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards Reschen pass on the B180, from Kajetansbrücke towards Spiss – Samnaun on the L348

  • From the south: via Reschen pass to Kajetansbrücke, then towards Spiss – Samnaun on the L348
