Description
The route is part of the Calanca Alpine Trail and for this section, which starts from San Bernardino and reaches Rossa in the Calanca valley, offers the possibility to stay at the Pian Grand bivouac. Accommodation must be booked in advance. The bivouac is unattended and the kitchen must be managed independently.

Safety Note
Attention: snowfields can also be present at high altitude sections even in summer months. A surefooted step and absence of vertigo are required.

Both from the North and the South, the village of San Bernardino is accessible via train and post bus connections (from the North: train Zurich - Chur, then post bus; from the South: train Chiasso - Bellinzona, then post bus).
Direct services connect Moesano excellently to the capital of Ticino, Bellinzona, and to that of the canton of Grisons, Chur.

Thanks to the motorway connections from the north A3 Zurich - Sargans and A13 Sargans - San Bernardino and from the south A2 Chiasso - Bellinzona and A13 Bellinzona - San Bernardino, Moesano is easily reachable throughout the year.
