5th stage, Pagig - Molinis - Tschiertschen
The Schanfigg Village Path connects the villages of the Schanfigg valley from Arosa to Chur on both sides of the valley for hikers. This is the hiking suggestion for the stage from Pagig to Tschiertschen.
Details
Description
In this section, you cross through the Schanfigg valley and reach the only valley floor settlement of the Schanfigg, Molinis. The village, with its sunburnt wooden houses, has largely retained its charm and is a hub for hikes. The fantastic landscape along the Plessur and the idyllic hiking trails invite you to linger. From Molinis, the route continues to Tschiertschen, where this stage suggestion ends. From Tschiertschen, the Graubünden Pilgrim’s Trail (Via Son Giachen 43) leads to Langwies. From Langwies, you can either walk the hiking trail to Arosa or alternatively take the Rhaetian Railway to Arosa or Chur. If you wish to end your route in Tschiertschen, you will find the bus stop "Tschiertschen, Dorf" where public transport will take you back to Chur. Timetables can be found at https://www.sbb.ch/de
Hidden Gem
Various craftsmen live in Molinis. If you're lucky, you can watch each of them at work processing their natural materials. For provisioning, a stop at the Postbeizli in Molinis is recommended. Details and opening hours can be found at https://postbeizli.ch/
