The route leads from Brigels towards the Schlanser Alps past various barbecue spots and the inn "Chispàzius" in Schlans.
Details
Description
From Brigels, follow a natural road heading west past the barbecue spot "Plaun da steilas" and the viewpoint "Plaun da plaids." From there it goes a bit higher to the small lake "Lag da palius pastg," which lies idyllically at the edge of the forest in the Schlanser Alps. There is also the possibility to take a barbecue break there. The lake is also the highest point of the hike. From there, head south downhill towards Schlans. Upon arrival in Schlans, the path leads over the connecting road to Dardin. At Dardin it goes up again to the "St. Nikolaus" chapel. From the barbecue site in front of the chapel, a forest trail leads back up to the starting point Brigels.
Hidden Gem
A visit to the inn "Chispàcius" in Schlans provides fresh energy for the subsequent ascent back to Brigels (note the opening hours). On the hike, you pass four different barbecue spots. All four invite you to linger.
Safety Note
The route should not be started in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are common in the mountains. If a rain front or similar appears during the hike, you should turn back in time.
Equipment
Good hiking shoes with good tread, weather-appropriate clothing (rain jacket/sunscreen), change of clothes, first aid kit, drink, food, possibly hiking poles.
