Description
The path leads from the parking lot at Laaxersee to Crap Fraissen and then further to the beautiful ruins of Lagenberg. From there, it continues to Uaul Ravanasc to Lag Tiert. The Lag Tiert, only 600 m² in size, is located 200 m northeast of the Laaxerhof and is a so-called karst spring, which belongs to the Flims karst system. Such a system is the result of a process lasting millennia, where water combined with carbon dioxide (CO2) dissolves limestone and gradually creates branching cave systems through cracks underground. The water of the lake ultimately comes from numerous seepage points between the Vorab Glacier and Piz Grisch. From the lake, the route goes to Fossa Salums, the Bronze Age cemetery, and finally to the local museum. Here, a furnished kitchen, living room, and bedroom show how farming families lived 150 years ago. A modern slideshow under the motto "Laax yesterday and today" offers a highly interesting overview of Laax.
