Description

After about 50 meters from the post bus stop «Tenna, Mitte» heading towards Innerberg, leave the road (A) and follow the pink markings up over the wide slope past brown sun-baked barns to Under Hütta. From here, cross the slope and continue upwards to Tenner Alp. The view of Tenna, the Ober- and Underhorn, and Piz Beverin is magnificent. The descent leads to Allmeinihütta and with a view of the solar ski lift to Tenna, Ausserberg (B). From here, follow the road or the winter hiking trail back to Tenna, Mitte.

Food and drink are available at the piste hut Tenna by the solar ski lift or at the Alpenblick mountain hotel in Tenna Mitte.

The snowshoe trail is signposted in both directions.

Hidden Gem

In Tenna, a visit to the lovely village church with its beautiful wall paintings is worthwhile.

This snowshoe tour is marked in the terrain with pink posts but not tracked. Please inform yourself beforehand about the avalanche situation. You can find out more about the current avalanche danger on WhiteRisk. The trail can be closed in case of avalanche danger.

Equipment

Well-functioning snowshoes, poles with winter baskets, good footwear, winter-appropriate clothing. The wind can significantly lower the perceived temperature in winter: do not forget winter gloves, hat, thermos bottle, etc.
