Details

Description

At over 2000 meters above sea level there is a small museum about these old mines. Over a raised bog, the path leads back to the starting point via small Walser-style mountain pasture settlements.

Geheimtipp

A visit to the well-known Church of St. Martin Zillis is worthwhile. It is also known as the Sistine of the Alps.

Sicherheitshinweis

From Alp Taspegn to the Maiensäss Bavugls, only rudimentary trails lead through a beautiful high moor landscape. A high level of surefootedness is required here.

Ausrüstung

Trail running shoes, backpack with drink (water or energy drink), food (bars, gels), windbreaker, mobile phone and emergency kit. For the long climb, poles are worthwhile.

Directions

Zillis – Plan Tischatscha – Plan Palé – Bavugls – Zillis

Starting at the municipal chancellery, the hiking trail leads in the direction of Reischen. Shortly after the start, the ascent to Alp Taspegn begins on the right. On about 7 kilometers, the road climbs about 1200 meters in altitude in a steady incline. After Alp Taspegn, the trail goes right over the stream and continues up to Plan Pale, where the highest point of the tour is reached. At your feet lies the Schamsertal above which the Piz Beverin trohnts and in the back lies the Piz Curvér. After the way back over the alpine meadows, you pass through the idyllically located Maiensäss Bavugls and continue on the hiking trail to just below Selvera, where you follow the junction in the direction of Pignia. This single trail leads through beautiful woods and ends just above Pigna. Even before reaching Pignia, the trail leads to the right in the direction of Zills to the starting point.
