Details

Description

From the parking lot in Mathon (1547 m) to the alpine huts of Dros (1872 m). Then via Pro da Peadra and over the southeast ridge to the crest. The last section on the ridge leads to the summit (2602 m). The descent follows the ascent route.

Hidden Gem

A drink and a sausage from the grill during the descent at the sled bar along the winter hiking trail Dros - Mathon/Lohn.

Public Transport

Mathon is accessible by PostBus. The bus stop is located directly at the starting point. Further information on the timetable can be found on the SBB website: www.sbb.ch.

Travel Information

Coming from the north (Thusis) on the A13, leave the motorway after the Viamala Gorge at the exit "Zillis / Andeer." Then turn right before Zillis in the direction of Mathon/Lohn/Wergenstein and follow the road up the mountain. Coming from the south (San Bernardino), leave the A13 at the Andeer exit. Drive on the cantonal road to Zillis and follow the signs for Mathon/Lohn/Wergenstein uphill.

Parking

The parking lot is located opposite the Muntsulej restaurant. There are about 20 parking spaces.
