Description

From Juf in Avers (2126 m) inland along the young Jufer Rhein until the valley basin closes. Then an ascent to the flat area below the Juferjoch. The steep section up to the Juferjoch (snow conditions must be very safe). Afterwards, the final ridge up to the east summit of Piz Piot. The effort is rewarded with views over Bergell, Avers, and in good weather conditions to the Monterosa area. The descent follows the ascent route. In the flat run-out section in the valley basin, skins must be put back on if necessary.

Public Transport

Coming from the south by post bus, travel to Andeer. Then change to route 552 to Juf. From the north, also take the post bus to Andeer and change to route 552 to Juf.

Travel Information

Take exit Avers / Rofflaschlucht from the A13 coming from the south or north and follow the cantonal road inland to the last village in Avers.

Parking

In front of the village Juf in Avers there is a public parking lot at the roadside.
