Description
The winter hiking route is a good combination of sledding and a leisurely walk. The route offers a great opportunity to discover the village of Vals and its surroundings from various perspectives.
Hidden Gem
Sit in the sun on the bench at the Bööörtli and enjoy the view and the sight of Vals.
Safety Note
Please always observe the avalanche and snow conditions. Please inquire at Tourism Visit Vals whether the sledding path is open.
Watch out for road traffic over the Mura!
Equipment
Solid, warm clothing, good winter hiking boots.
Directions
From the village square, the alley (to the left of the village church) leads up to the Valserhof Hotel. To the left, it continues to the highest point, the "Bööörtli". From there, you can sled down both directions into the village: either down to the Rovanada Hotel or back to the Valserhof in the Mura. From the Rovanada Hotel, you walk comfortably back downhill to the starting point towards the village bridge and the village square of Vals.
