This route is technically easy to manage but requires some stamina to really enjoy the idyllic alpine and Maiensäss roads.

Whether you take the route leisurely or pedal sportily – the highest point will definitely reward you: on the sun terrace of the mountain restaurant Wali you can expect a breathtaking view and a well-deserved cool drink.

Hidden Gem

Stop at the mountain restaurant Wali or the restaurant Stai in Miraniga.

In case of uncertain weather conditions, the route should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are common. If a rain front or similar develops during the route, you should turn back in time.

In the extensive municipality of Obersaxen at the foot of the 2064-meter-high Piz Mundaun, the "Bündner Rigi", Upper Saxony is spoken in the otherwise Rhaeto-Romance language area. The inhabited terrace, located between 1000 m (Axenstein) and 1430 m (Miraniga), extends over a length of 14 kilometers.
