Description

Take the gondola comfortably from Savognin up to Somtgant 2106 m. On the well-marked Alpenflora experience trail, follow the contour line to Mot Laritg. After a short descent, the hiking trail leads left near Bargung to Cre digl Lai. Past the picturesque alpine dairy farm Som igls Mellens, walk through Pitgogna to the pilgrimage church Ziteil.  From Ziteil, follow the signposts past Piz Toissa down to the alpine dairy farms Munter and Ratitsch and continue on to Salouf.

Hidden Gem

If you want to enjoy even more views, take a detour to Piz Toissa 2657 m. It’s definitely worth it!

From the end of June until mid-August, the pilgrimage church Ziteil and the gastronomy are open on weekends. More information at www.ziteil.ch

Good hiking shoes and practical outdoor clothing are recommended.

Public Transport

Take the Rhaetian Railway from Chur to Tiefencastel. Then continue with the PostBus to Savognin. Or take the PostBus from Chur/St. Moritz to Savognin. From there it’s a short walk to the valley station of the Savognin mountain lifts.

Munter and Cre digl Lai can be reached on Saturdays from the end of June until mid-October using the bike and hiking bus.
