Description

The start-up phase along the Obersee is comparatively leisurely. But then it starts right away. The Eichhörnliweg and the Prätschli with bus stop and hotel are the first highlights on the demanding route. Now it goes downhill for a moment – the first and only time. From the junction Maran there is hardly a breather. The sections in the Arlenwald and Scheidegg areas offer a welcome change. The last, extremely steep kilometre from the Sattelhütte up to the Weisshorn is really tough. On the summit, which is known to winter sports enthusiasts as well as hikers and bike enthusiasts alike, the newcomers at 2,649 meters above sea level are offered a breathtaking panoramic view and thus a lucrative reward for the exertions.
