This gorgeous hiking route climbs up to the serene and secluded Septimer Pass. The neighbouring pass is home to Europe’s only triple watershed. A varied descent leads across the Val Moraz into the Val Bregaglia, where Giovanni Segantini painted some of his most famous works.

Description

From Bivio to the height of the Septimer Pass, the traces of past centuries are visible. On the other side of the pass lies Bergell, where Segantini painted some of his most important works in Soglio. Segantini was buried in Maloja in 1899.
