Description

In the morning, you first roll down into the main valley of the Upper Engadin, passing the village of S-chanf, then climb up the lonely Val Susauna on a gravel road. At Alp Funtauna, the ascent turns into a singletrail that can easily be ridden uphill. Eventually, this way you reach the junction to the Sertig Pass.

Less technically skilled or very hungry mountain bikers now climb up to the Keschhütte and take from there the wide and fast path down to Chants. The others turn right, climbing up to Sella da Ravais-ch with its impressive, multi-level lake landscape. The path is demanding in the upper section, becoming smoother as the distance increases, until just above Chants it turns into a gravel road. In Chants, the final section of the three-day hut route awaits. Due to the lack of singletrail alternatives, you follow the little road through the wild and romantic Val Tuors and thus reach the town center of Bergün.
