Details

Description

The Tamboboden circular route leads from the Rhine bridge at the village entrance of Splügen over the Erlen (past the large cable car parking lot and Splügen Sport) to Tamboboden. There you cross the covered wooden bridge. Then the path leads back on the other side of the Hinterrhein river to the starting point in Splügen.

Hidden Gem

A detour to the historic village center of Splügen is worth it. At the Viamala tourist information at Bodenplatz (next to the Bodenhaus hotel), you can get detailed information if you have questions or uncertainties. Please note the opening hours.

From the north: via A13 motorway to Chur, Thusis and on to Splügen. From the south: via A13 motorway to Bellinzona, San Bernardino and on to Splügen. Take exit 28-Splügen on the A13. Plan your journey with the Google route planner.

Paid parking spaces below the valley station of the Splügen-Tambo cable cars, along the Splügen Pass road, Parkplatz Erlen and Mainetti. Free parking in Splügen village at the PostAuto stop.
