Description
Starting from the Tenna, Post bus stop walk towards the Reformed church. Opposite the small church from the 16th century, the route begins, which leads past old barns and stables up to the Tenner Alp. Walking through the snow, it feels for the hiker like walking on a cloud. The route offers with little effort an impressive backdrop in the best snowshoe terrain. From the Tenner Alp the tour first leads flat, then steadily ascending to the summit cross. On reaching the Tenner Chrüz, you enjoy a magnificent view of the Rhine Gorge, all the way to Chur and the Engadin mountains. The descent to Tenner Chrüz leads through a short forest section, past the world's first solar ski lift.
As we move at the tree line, wildlife is not far away either. Stay on the described route and especially do not enter other forest sections. The abundant black grouse and cloven-hoofed game will thank you.

Hidden Gem
A visit to the church in Tenna is highly recommended. It has beautiful wall paintings and a richly decorated wooden ceiling.
A well-deserved stop at the Hotel Alpenblick, the Pistenbeizli at the solar ski lift, or the Café Tenna Hospiz.
Safety Note
Ski and snowshoe tours in unsecured terrain require good knowledge in assessing avalanche danger and tour planning. Furthermore, a complete safety equipment must always be carried - regardless of the current avalanche risk.
We recommend for preparation and planning of the tour the app and website of WhiteRisk.
For carefree enjoyment, we recommend our mountain guides and snowshoe hiking guides of Surselva.

For us humans, winter is a wonderful time! Deep snowy landscapes, clear, pure air and in the evening after the snowshoe tour, a warm, cozy home awaits. For our wildlife, such as deer, stag, and chamois, however, winter is a hard time! Every disturbance by us humans, every flight, becomes torture for these animals and drains their reserves. Stay on the published route! This will protect the wildlife and sanctuary zones. www.map.geo.gr.ch/gr_webmaps/wsgi/theme/Wildruhezonen
