Description

The start of this route is at the end of the village Sur En. Directly at the valley entrance there are catering options as well as connections to the PostBus line via Sent to Scuol. The Alp road leads through the wild valley until you reach the idyllically located Alp Uina Dadaint at the very end. Alp Uina Dadaint is staffed and invites you to refresh yourself for the remaining route. From here, only a narrow hiking trail leads first through the forest up to the rock walls. The approximately 600-meter-long path blasted into the steep rock wall was created at the beginning of the twentieth century as an access to the Pforzheim hut. Once past the rock path, the valley opens up again and the hiking trail becomes somewhat flatter again. Passing Alp Sursass, over the Schlinig Pass, it goes to Italy. Soon you reach the Sesvenna hut, which is on South Tyrolean soil. The Sesvenna hut is staffed in summer and offers accommodation. The hike continues down to Schlinig. From there, you take the bus over the Reschen Pass back to Switzerland.
