Toboggan run Alp Proliebas over lower barrier to Alvra Sur
One of the most beautiful Alpine passes in Europe becomes a unique tobogganing paradise in winter
Details
Description
In summer, popular with motorists and leisure cyclists for its scenic route as a special driving pleasure experience, the Albulapass transforms into a unique toboggan run in winter. The fun starts at the upper barrier (Alp Proliebas); beforehand, a bit of physical effort is required as the road is completely closed to motorized traffic, so the toboggan must be pulled on foot to the starting point. The prepared pass road offers ideal conditions for a winter walk on the sunny slope of La Punt.
The upper section offers a 2.35 km long tobogganing enjoyment from the upper to the lower barrier (Reservoir) and is open daily from mid to late December as well as in February and March. In January, it is used for tire tests and is therefore closed. The lower section, 650 m long, from the lower barrier to the Alvra Sur neighborhood street invites you to zoom down daily from mid-December to March (10:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00).
