Description
Don't forget that at the start at the valley station of the Lagalb cable car, we are already at 2,100 meters above sea level, so the tour should be tackled slowly. The path climbs just before it enters the Val Minor in a relatively flat way through alpine pastures with cows and horses. On the right dominates the high north face of Piz Lagalb, on the left the gentler and flatter slopes of 3,000-meter peaks such as Piz Minor.
Following the Ova Minor stream, you will reach the first elevation of the tour: the Puoz Minor mountain lake, followed by several smaller lakes and the Lej Minor. A short climb over glacier-smoothed rocks leads to Fuorcla Minor. If you feel like it and have time, you can turn left and continue walking for about half an hour towards the Italian border with a view towards the Forcola di Livigno and Livigno (and back...). Attention: in this area the path follows the official routes of motorcyclists, so mutual consideration is necessary.
From the Fuorcla Minor there are wonderful views of the imposing Piz Cambrena and the glacial landscape of the Bernina Group. Along the southern flank of Piz Lagalb, the downhill path leads back to the valley station of the Lagalb cable car.
