Description
Don't forget that at the start, at the valley station of the Lagalb cable car, you are already at 2,100 meters above sea level: the tour should therefore be taken slowly. The path climbs immediately before entering the Val Minor relatively flat through alpine pastures with cows and horses. On the right dominates the high north face of Piz Lagalb, on the left the gentler and flatter slopes of 3,000-meter peaks like Piz Minor.
Following the Ova Minor stream, you reach the first height of the tour: the mountain lake Puoz Minor, followed by several smaller lakes and Lej Minor. A short climb on glacier-polished rocks leads to the Fuorcla Minor. If you feel like it and have time, you can turn left and continue walking for about half an hour towards the Italian border with views towards the Forcola di Livigno and Livigno (and back...). Attention: in this area, the trail follows the official routes of motorcyclists, so mutual consideration is necessary.
From the Fuorcla Minor, splendid views open up of the imposing Piz Cambrena and the glacial landscape of the Bernina Group. Along the southern flank of Piz Lagalb, the descending trail leads back to the valley station of the Lagalb cable car.
