Details
Description
The Transviamala Curta running experience starts in Thusis and leads along the old road through the “Lost Hole” to Rongellen. After this first steep climb, you leave the road and run along the “viaSpluga” towards the Viamala Gorge. This section promises steep ascents, single trails along rock bands, and breathtaking views into the gorge. The Viamala Gorge is crossed on the bridges known from many pictures. From there, it is a constant up and down like a cross-country run, which takes you on intense climbs all the way up to Reischen. This section offers one of the most impressive experiences: After a steep climb in a dark wooded area, the wide and open Schamser valley suddenly opens up! After the descent to Zillis, the route passes by the famous St. Martin's Church in Zillis and leads the runner directly to Donat on the ViaSpluga.
