Description

We start our route with a short train ride from Dieni to Tschamut. From the train station, a wide, well-groomed path leads through a young forest in two switchbacks up to the height of Scharinas. Along the way, there are resting benches to enjoy the silence and the view; you might also suddenly see a deer dash across the path. After a short, flat section, we reach Alp Milez, and the cheerful noise of skiers greets us. We are right in the middle of the ski area! On this valley hike, we share the path with sledders and must therefore be attentive. The upper part along the ski slope is even somewhat steep, so hiking poles are very helpful.  The second half of the path, which leads again on a groomed access road, is more relaxed.

Hidden Gem

The hike can be combined with a sled run from Milez to Dieni. Sled rental at the valley station of the Ski Arena in Dieni. Dining option in Milez.
