Description
The path leads from the Hotel Restaurant Roseg Glacier first over the bridge of the Ova da Roseg, before steadily ascending along the mountainside. Coming from Pontresina, the hut path branches off before the bridge to the Hotel Restaurant Roseg Glacier. Always in view are the Sella group with the Roseg and Sella glaciers and the wide riverbed of the Ova da Roseg. Shortly afterward, you hike along the glacier moraine of the Tschierva Glacier towards the Tschierva Hut, where an impressive view awaits you. The imposing Piz Roseg, Piz Bernina, the only four-thousander of the Eastern Alps with the famous Biancograt, and the Tschierva Glacier are constantly in sight. The descent is on the same path. From the Restaurant Roseg Glacier, horse-drawn coaches return to Pontresina (observe departure times), or those who cycled down in the morning with a mountain bike or e-bike can now comfortably ride back to Pontresina.
