Aussicht auf Chamues-ch
The trail runs along the south-eastern hillside and through fragrant forests, then past gnarled fir trees and bubbling mountain streams. Solid stone walls, round arches, characteristic oriels and mysterious alleyways can be explored in the Engadine villages. Enjoy the impressive view of the huge mountain ranges.

Description

Through the village of Bever with its historic buildings, the Via Engadina now nestles along the flank of the Crasta Mora and leads us past numerous gnarled Swiss stone pines up to the Albulapass road. We follow the narrow high path, crossing several fairly wide streams that babble down into the valley across the trail. Along a varied alpine landscape – over stone steps, blooming alpine meadows, and fragrant forests – we reach a plateau with a magnificent viewpoint. Below us we see the primal hamlet of Madulain. Continuing on the Via Engadina, we cross a roaring gorge above a ravine before the path leisurely winds down towards Zuoz.
