Description

The home village of Schellen-Ursli is crossed and left in an eastern direction. Then the route leads via the historic Engadin road to Bos-cha and then gently descending to the daily destination Ardez, at the eastern end of which the ruins of Steinsberg Castle watch visibly over the valley.

Hidden Gem

If this stage is too short for you, a detour to Munt d'Ardez or even further to Murtera Dadoura with a toboggan run to Ardez is recommended. Toboggans are ready at the top and can be returned at the Hotel Alvetern in Ardez.

The path is prepared after every snowfall. Please observe the condition reports in the winter sports report. The route was rated under favorable weather conditions, current snow and weather conditions must be observed before starting.


Attention: The path goes through wildlife protection zones, please do not leave forest paths.
Attention: The path partly runs on cross-country ski trails – please walk at the edge of the trails.

Travel Information



  • From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela pass to the Lower Engadin on H27




  • From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards St. Moritz on H27





  • From the south: via Reschen pass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofen pass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27




  • Guarda can be reached from the Engadin road at Giarsun in 5 minutes by car
