Varied trail running route through the Viamala Gorge and over the Traversiner Bridge.
Details
Description
The route starts at the train station in Thusis and, after a short stretch on asphalt, leads directly onto a varied trail winding up through the forest. After the first ascent, you move through the Viamala Gorge on a narrow single trail overlooking the impressive gorge below. Concentrated running is necessary here, as the path is easy to walk but somewhat exposed. Soon after follows the Traversiner Bridge, a staircase hanging about 70 meters above the ground. After a short descent comes the second ascent up to Rongellen, from where the final descent towards Thusis begins. Here you can choose between a wider alpine road or a technically demanding single trail, depending on your preferences.
