Description
The Vorab Trail starts at the Vorab restaurant at 2,571 metres above sea level (closed in summer), winding its way over the rocks of the former Vorabfirn glacier. Only the red and white markings on boulders and rocks show the way through the rugged terrain. Later, a single-track descent crosses the mountain road and leads along the somewhat easier section of the alpine hiking trail to Camona Vorab. Here, the trail continues downhill on the Sogn Martin Trail. Alternatively, you can also add on the Fuorcla Trail, at the end of which a short climb takes you to Crap Sogn Gion.
The Vorab Trail is a high-altitude trail paradise for advanced enduro enthusiasts. To reach the start of the trail, take the FlemX cable car to the Nagens Sura mountain station. From there, follow the well-maintained gravel road to the Vorab mountain station.
Safety Note
The Vorab restaurant is closed in summer. Bring enough to eat and to drink.
