Description

Only rarely are we aware of our senses in everyday life. We see, hear, smell, feel and taste mostly automatically. On the hiking trail of the senses, we are asked to consciously perceive our senses. On various information boards we will find not only the suggestions for our senses but also a lot of interesting facts about the Val Medel.
We hear the soft sound of the wind, smell the scent of a tree bark, immerse ourselves in the beauty of a flower, taste fresh spring water or feel soft moss under our bare feet.

The hiking trail of the senses starts above Curaglia and takes us through a beautiful, almost untouched landscape. We walk through forests and meadows, pass small and large streams and we can enjoy a breathtaking view above Biscuolm. From here the path runs straight to Pardatsch and on to Gliarauns, from where we hike back down to Curaglia.

The sole hiking time is 2-3 hours. However, we take our time and plan a whole day for the hike, because we want to experience everything intensively.

Geheimtipp

Take a small bath towel with you and maybe a blanket for a nap in nature.

Sicherheitshinweis

The ascent from the bisquolm chapel to the highest point of the round is a bit steep.

At the streams, the children must be supervised.

Directions

This themed trail is specially signposted and starts above the village. It leads first into a small valley with a stream and then relatively steeply ascending to Biscuolm with the pretty chapel Sontga Brida. Just a few meters after the chapel is the fireplace. This is followed by another short steep ascent to the Holzliege, the highest point of the hike. After Pardatsch we cross the road and walk on a hiking trail to the Maiensässen Gliarauns and on to Curaglia.
