Description
This short circular hike leads through the idyllic vineyards of Zizers in the Chur Rhine Valley. Over a distance of around 4 kilometers and an elevation gain of 120 meters, it offers beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding mountain landscape, including the imposing Calanda on the opposite side of the valley. Ideal for a leisurely stroll through the vineyards.
Hidden Gem
A visit to a local winery is well worthwhile. Treat yourself to a tasting and take a bottle of Graubünden wine home with you as a souvenir.

Sturdy and comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate and hard-wearing clothing in multiple layers, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water
Directions
The tour starts south of the village below the Grendelmeier winery and initially leads through the vineyards. Passing Rappagugg, the trail continues in the direction of Molinära before leading back to the starting point above the vineyards.

From Chur, take the post bus to Zizers (stop: Schule Feld). Alternatively, take the train to Untervaz/Trimmis station and from there continue by post bus to the same stop.
From Zurich, take the train to Landquart and then continue to Untervaz/Trimmis station. Then take the post bus to Zizers (stop: Schule Feld). Alternatively, you can continue directly from Landquart by post bus.
Travel Information
Take the Zizers freeway exit, then drive 1 km on the cantonal road in the direction of Zizers Zentrum.
Parking
Parking spaces are available at the Zizers school building.
