Sennerei Samnaun
Alpine show dairy with weekly guided tours and large food market.

Description

In 1960 the Samnaun Dairy was originally founded by 30 farmers on a cooperative basis. The main task was the central processing of the milk, a little later the marketing was added. In the summer months the milk is delivered via a pipeline from Alp Bella, as the cows are there at this time of year. From September to June, the five dairy farmers in the valley deliver the milk in milk cans twice a day. This is the basis for Samnauner Käse, which is a semi-hard cheese with a maturing period of between three months and one year.

Find out more about the path the milk takes from the cow to the tasty Samnaun mountain cheese. On a guided tour you can take a look at the production. After the guided tour a tasting will take place.
