Art Gallery Bregaglia Engadin
Atelier Giacometti
Description
The small stable in the center of Stampa was converted into a studio in 1906 on the initiative of Giovanni Giacometti. Giovanni's children and his wife Annetta often posed for the painter in this room. After Giovanni's death in 1933, his now famous son Alberto used the studio when he visited his mother in the summer months. The traces of the two artists can still be seen today in the light-filled room, which is over four meters high.
There are guided tours of the studio once or twice a week during the summer months.
