Glarus Thrust on the Ringelspitz

From the Heidelpass you can see the razor-sharp line of the Glarus Thrust to the south. It can be traced westwards below the summits of Ringelspitz and Tristelhorn via Piz Dolf and Piz Sardona. The mighty north face of the Calfeisen valley is made of layered flysch, only the summits of Pizol are made of older Verucano rock.
