Vättis

The former farming village with about 410 inhabitants nestles gently in green meadows bordered by the mighty peaks of Calandas, Simel and Drachenberg. Vättis is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes, be it in the direction of the Kunkelspass or in the Calfeisental with the Gigerwaldstausee, the Walser settlement St.Martin and the Sardona Glacier in the area of the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. But also the village itself has a lot to offer, be it with the stone sculpture path, the dragon hole museum or with the hunting room Tamina. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, there are two trails of a total of 20 km available in Vättis.
