The fountain of Caschneras was built in 1934. Like most other village wells, it also performed various tasks. It was a cattle trough and served the village women at the big "Buchata", the washing day on which the bed linen was cleaned in spring and autumn. The fountain of Plattas is the oldest fountain in Flerden. It also has an additional washing trough and two stone wheel deflectors to protect the corners from damage. The year 1880 corresponds to the year of construction of the first water supply in the village.
