Kunkels Pass connects the village of Vättis in the canton of St. Gallen with Tamins in Graubünden. The historical pass route is now a popular destination for hikers and cyclists.

Almost a kilometre long and already a full-blown cross-country ski trail. Surrounded by a fairytale forest, the varied trail winds its way through the Tuf recreation area. The area is located at 1320 m above sea level and is very snowy thanks to its sheltered location.

The beauty of Graubünden is world-renowned. No matter in what corner of the canton one travels, unique landscapes can be found everywhere- every spot in the mountain region is a masterpiece. In order to match this spectacular nature, the official white-red-and-white trail markers have been newly painted by an artist, called Stefan Rüesch.
