The barbecue area is located on the Ansaina waterway in the forest of Alvaneu Bad and can also be reached from the village in a few minutes. Just opposite the barbecue area is a playground. The Albula flows next door and only a short hike away is the Schaftobelfall and also the Crap Furò is about 1.15 hours walk away. The Crap Furò is the geographical centre of Graubünden - see Path of the Pioneers.

The Crotti (called «Crot» in Brusio, «Scelé» in Poschiavo) are round stone buildings with false vaults, which in the past were used to store food at cool, constant temperatures or, more rarely, as a kitchen or temporary accommodation.
