As early as 1996, the first boulderers (boulder climbers) discovered the "Magic Wood" area in the municipality of Ferrera. In 2004, this trend was taken up by the municipality and the "Magic Wood" area was rezoned into a bouldering zone.

From summer 2019, the Arosa Bike School will be oriented towards the new Bären Bikebande and, as in winter, will offer a children's programme at the appropriate level in the ski school.
