The barbecue area is located on the Ansaina waterway in the forest of Alvaneu Bad and can also be reached from the village in a few minutes. Just opposite the barbecue area is a playground. The Albula flows next door and only a short hike away is the Schaftobelfall and also the Crap Furò is about 1.15 hours walk away. The Crap Furò is the geographical centre of Graubünden - see Path of the Pioneers.

In 1616, the choir of the old chapel was demolished and replaced by the current building. Hans Jakob Greutter from Brixen in South Tyrol was commissioned to paint it completely. It was not until 1926 that the original paintings, which had been whitewashed over at an unknown date, were discovered.

An impressive row of stately homes from the second half of the 19th century borders the southern edge of the centre of Poschiavo.
