The Welschdörfli is where Chur's nightlife takes place. In Roman times there was a settlement here with residential buildings, workshops and a thermal bath.

Today's Welschdörfli district of Chur has a settlement continuity that stretches from the Neolithic period to the present day. Since 1986, the settlement remains have been enclosed by protective structures designed by the Grisons architect Peter Zumthor.

Karsten Greve, born in 1946, studied in Cologne, Lausanne and Geneva. He started his career as an art dealer and publisher in 1969. From 1970 onwards he operated the Möllenhof/Greve gallery. He opened the first of his own galleries at the beginning of 1973, his debut being a solo exhibition by Yves Klein in the gallery building at Lindenstraße, Cologne.

Fläsch, Maienfeld, Jenins and Malans form the "Bündner Herrschaft". They are known for their excellent wines and for being at the gate to the canton of Graubünden. The town of Maienfeld is also starting point of exploring the home of famous book and movie character Heidi.
