At the top of the hill, adorned with a red onion roof, you can see the tower of Luven church. Below, hidden among the trees on Lugnezerstrasse, is the old Ilanz parish church of St. Martin. The church is not open to the public.

The fountain consists of joined stone slabs, two so-called wheel deflectors and an additional concrete wash trough. The way from the schoolhouse here leads past the former restaurant Gemsli and the "very old" schoolhouse with the coats of arms of the citizens of Flerden. Under the street is the village saw and right next to the fountain the bakery of the municipality.

Segantini 07: Ritorno all'ovile – Rückkehr zum Schafstall, 1888
The sheep are returned from the pasture to the barn shortly before dark. Segantini thus addresses the intimate bond between humans and animals. The original stable no longer exists, it stood east of the Veia Tgaplottas (Chapel Path). In the background of the picture you can see the chapel.
