With great dedication and passion, the natural ice rink in Trun has been maintained by the members of the “Uniun da Scursalets Trun” (Trun Ice Skating Club) since 1962.

Built in 1870, the hotel benefited from pass traffic at the time of Segantini. Every day, travellers travelled by stagecoach from Chur to the Engadine. The Hotel Piz Mitgel still has a land register right to an unobstructed view of the Piz d'Err. Therefore, the house Peterelli was built a little back.

From his hut on Alp Tussagn, Segantini climbs even higher up to Lai Tigiel in a 2 1/2-hour walk. There he worked on the paintings "Alpine Pastures", "The Punishment of the Voluptuous" and "The Evil Mothers".
