Alla scoperta dei modi di dire del dialetto con Christian Demarta

The Municipal Library of Grono is pleased to invite you to an evening dedicated to the presentation of the latest book by Christian Demarta, graphic designer and illustrator. The appointment is set for Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 8.00 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the Grono school building.

During the evening, Christian Demarta will present his new volume "Volabass 8 che rebelött!", a collection of idioms of the dialect of Italian-speaking Switzerland, illustrated and translated into different languages. A peculiarity of this new edition is the presence of Latin, which adds a further and original touch to this journey through words, expressions and linguistic curiosities.

The meeting will be moderated by Moira Bubola, RSI journalist. The evening will also see the participation of Benedino Gemelli, professor, and Lulo Tognola, graphic designer.

It will be an opportunity to rediscover the richness and liveliness of our dialect, through popular expressions that tell the traditions, culture and identity of the territory. A moment of meeting and sharing to appreciate the value of words and linguistic peculiarities that characterize Italian-speaking Switzerland.

At the end of the presentation, a convivial moment with refreshments will follow.
