Apertura stagionale Museo Moesano

The inaugural day will be dedicated to the public presentation of the new deposit of the collections, recently transferred to the headquarters of the Moesano Insertion Program in Roveredo. This important move makes it possible to ensure more appropriate conservation conditions and to enhance guided tour activities, while encouraging moments of meeting and intergenerational exchange with school groups.

The vast collection of ethnographic objects, which has grown steadily over the years, now includes about 1,700 artifacts that document many aspects of traditional daily life: from linen and hemp processing to woodworking, up to the themes of clothing and popular religiosity. Among the collections of works of art stand out portraits of local political and cultural personalities from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, as well as numerous objects of sacred art.

During the afternoon, the staff of the Moesano Museum will accompany visitors "behind the scenes" of the collections, offering a look at the functioning of a museum deposit and the selection, cataloguing and conservation procedures implemented on the occasion of each donation proposal, which are essential to ensure optimal protection of assets of historical, artistic and cultural value. Particular attention is also paid to activities to enhance the collections, including temporary exhibitions, guided tours, projects with school groups and collaborations with nursing homes in the region.

During the opening day there will also be a surprise activity with some objects from the collections, designed specifically for the youngest.

Admission is free and no registration is required.
Refreshments will follow offered to all those present.
